Job summary

Labcorp, operating as PAML in Richland, WA, is seeking a Hospital Reference Testing Clerk to join our team. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm; overtime and additional days may be required.

Responsibilities include preparing specimens, handling test requests, assisting clients, and coordinating with LabCorp and reference labs. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma; preferred candidates may have data entry experience and an associate degree in chemistry, biology,

• 6 months or more medical office or hospital data entry preferred.
• Associate's Degree in Chemistry, Biology or Medical Lab Science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testing.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems.
• Send test requests to proper location and release test results.
• Assist clients with any specimen related requests or inquiries.
• Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities.
• Provide support to various areas of the laboratory.
• Perform sample sorting, racking and retrieving.
• Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Prepare and send specimens and test requests to LabCorp or contracted reference laboratories; release referral test results into the system.

Position Overview

PAML a Labcorp company is seeking a Hospital Reference Testing Clerk to join our team in Richland, WA. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm overtime and additional days or hours may be required.

• The position will be responsible for preparing and sending specimens and test requests to LabCorp and/or contracted reference laboratory for testing, as well as releasing referral test results into the computer system.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months or more medical office or hospital data entry
• 6 months or more clinical, hospital, or research laboratory
• Associate's Degree in Chemistry, Biology or Medical Lab Science

Pay Range

Pay Range: $17.75 - $21.37 hourly. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Benefits

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
