Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a security officer to protect students, staff, patients and visitors on site. You will respond to emergencies, safeguard people and property, and de-escalate tense situations with sound judgment.

Required education includes a high school diploma or GED, with some roles preferring 2 years in security/public safety. Various certifications and a valid state driver’s license are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required; 2 years security/public safety experience preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment psychological screening.
• Must obtain and maintain training and certifications including Taser, ASP Baton, and Mental Health First Aid.

Responsibilities

• First responder to all emergency incidents within the assigned facility.
• Safeguard students, employees, visitors, patients and property.
• De-escalate critical events with sound judgment when engaging combative subjects.

Driver License (DL)

IAHSS Certification
