Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a security officer to perform routine safety and emergency security duties, safeguarding patients, staff, visitors and property. You will be the first responder to incidents in the facility and must de-escalate critical events with sound judgment.

Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED; no experience is required, though 2 years in general security or public safety is preferred. Pre-employment screenings and certifications within 1 year are required.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; 2 years experience in general security, military or other public safety experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a variety of routine safety and emergency security activities while safeguarding students, employees, visitors, patients and property.
• First responder to all emergency incidents within the assigned facility.
• Responsible for the safe de-escalation of critical events and the use of sound judgment in the engagement with combative or escalating subjects.
