Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a security professional to act as a first responder to emergencies within the facility, safeguarding patients, staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a GED or high school diploma and at least two years in security or related public safety roles requiring firearm handling.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of general security, military or other public safety experience where required to actively carry a firearm in the regular course of duty.
• Equivalence of training and job experience to support effective demonstration of responsible handling of weapons and use of force.

Responsibilities

• First responder to all emergency incidents within the assigned facility.
• Responsible for a variety of routine safety and emergency security activities while safeguarding students, employees, visitors, patients, and property.
• Safe de-escalation of critical events and the use of sound judgment in engagement with combative or escalating subjects.
