Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Pre-employment psychological screening required.
• Certifications in Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid may be required.
• Must pass and maintain training to include listed certifications.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate Piedmont values and deliver excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
• Screen for and interdict weapons entering the facility.
• Maintain security of hospital, professional buildings, and parking areas.
• Conduct routine safety and emergency security activities as assigned.
• Document incidents and assist in initial investigations.
• Monitor at-risk patients and de-escalate when needed.
• Respond to aggressive behavior and apply safe restraints when necessary.
• Document activities in medical records and ensure policy compliance.
• Direct traffic as required and assist with directions and emergencies.
• Support crime prevention and a secure work environment through observation and intervention.
