Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Alaska required.
• BLS CPR certification must be current.
• Clinical competency completion within 3 months of hire and every three years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy treatments as outlined by a licensed physical therapist.
• Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Document patient encounters and treatment findings.

Skills

Ability to fit and train patients with adaptive devices

Effective communication skills

Proficiency with computer systems

Ability to explain therapeutic concepts

Sound judgment in patient care

Education

Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Alaska

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification

Valid driver’s license

High school diploma or equivalent
