Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a dedicated kitchen cook to prepare patient, retail, and catering meals following established records and recipes. You will handle high-volume tasks, maintain food safety, and support inventory control in a hospital setting.

The role requires 2+ years of institutional cooking experience, English proficiency, and the ability to work in a team. Spanish bilingual skills and ServeSafe certification are preferred. Equal opportunity employer and full-time daytime shift.

Qualifications

  • Able to communicate in English well to effectively interact with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to follow, read and write recipes as needed.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Physical ability to perform designated job.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patient, retail, and catering meals by following culinary production records, including short-order and batch cooking to ensure quality and temperature standards.
  • Execute advance prep tasks by reviewing pull sheets and organizing ingredients for upcoming service periods and high-volume production needs.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment and surfaces meet health standards and recording temperatures according to regulatory requirements.
  • Manage inventory by sorting, labeling, dating, and rotating stock to support food safety and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with managers and team members to meet operational goals, communicate needs, and support efficient food service delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.
