Job summary

Florida Medical Center is seeking a skilled plumber to perform general maintenance and installation, troubleshoot problems, adjust meters, and service fixtures on-site.

You will maintain water/sewer lines, solder and weld as needed, log work orders, and respond to emergencies, with after-hours readiness.

Candidates should meet the education requirement and be able to work in a hospital environment, following AHCA and JCAHO standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED completed.
• Minimum one year in a hospital, hotel or school plumbing role.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs general plumbing maintenance and installation; troubleshoots and resolves issues.
• Maintains water/sewer lines; can solder and weld pipes.
• Fills out work orders and conducts preventive maintenance.
• Provides material cost estimates and responds to after-hours emergencies.
• Communicates with hospital staff about repair status.
• Adheres to AHCA/JACHO standards and inspection requirements.
