Job summary

Tenet Healthcare's Detroit Receiving Hospital seeks a Plant Ops/Facilities technician to maintain automated control systems, energy-efficient equipment, and remote monitoring. You may also perform welding and assist in major repairs across HVAC, refrigeration and fire-safety systems.

Under supervision, you will support preventive maintenance, install new components, and coordinate with maintenance engineers to ensure continuous operations at the Harper University/Hutzel facility in Detroit.

Qualifications

Ability to read, write and follow instructions; English speaking required.
1–2 years in industrial repair; welding or hospital equipment experience preferred.
5–8 years motor control; 5 years pneumatic and DDC controls; 3 years programming experience depending on area.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, installation and repair of automated control systems (HVAC, pneumatic tube, fire alarms, refrigeration).
Generate programs/graphics to improve energy efficiency and remote monitoring of equipment.
Coordinate work of engineers for major repairs across heating, cooling and related systems.
May weld on various equipment as needed.
