Responsibilities

• Perform teardown and reassembling of boilers and chillers for regulatory inspections
• Monitor HVAC of the building through the Johnson Controls Metasys Building Automation System
• Direct Plant Operations staff during fire alarm events with the Notifire system
• Monitor and operate the Swisslog tube system computer
• Answer the department’s phone in the absence of office staff
• Perform other duties as directed by management

Skills

Ability to read, write, speak English and follow oral and written instructions

Competent computer skills

Ability to use tools necessary to the function of the job

Knowledge of supplies, materials, parts substitutions, codes and equipment records

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

City of Detroit 2nd Class Engineers License

City of Detroit 1st Class Refrigeration Operator License
