Job summary

DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit is seeking a Second Class Engineer to manage boilers, chillers and building systems, ensuring compliance with OEM, regulatory and code requirements. You will monitor Metasys Building Automation System, Notifire fire alarm panel, and Swisslog tube system, responding to alarms and initiating corrective actions as needed.

The role involves logging work orders in AIMS and coordinating with Plant Operations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
City of Detroit 2nd Class Engineer License required.
City of Detroit 1st Class Refrigeration Operator License required.

Responsibilities

Operate boilers, chillers and related equipment per policy and code requirements.
Monitor HVAC via Metasys Building Automation System; respond to alarms and take corrective action.
Monitor Notifire fire alarm panel and coordinate with staff during alarms; maintain Notifire competency.
Monitor and operate Swisslog tube system; respond to alarms as needed.
Handle phone calls when office staff are unavailable and log work orders in AIMS.
Perform related duties to support Plant Operations as assigned.
