Alameda Health System is seeking a Stationary Engineer for Alameda Hospital. This full-time evening position supports the Plant Maintenance department and ensures the safe operation of hospital facilities and systems.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, troubleshooting issues, reading blueprints, and maintaining HVAC controls to maximize efficiency. Requires a high school diploma or GED and a relevant apprenticeship or certifications. Valid CA driver’s license preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Required Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Preferred Education: Apprenticeship or HVAC-related certifications such as electrical, pneumatic controls, or basic refrigeration.

Aufgaben

• Support physical plant equipment and systems, including life safety equipment.
• May work in emergency situations during off hours and weekends.
• Inspect and adjust equipment; read blueprints and manuals to determine operation.
• Troubleshoot problems under normal and abnormal conditions.
• Operate and analyze physical plant equipment via computers and microprocessor devices.
• Test new machines to ensure contract specs are met.
• Assist in maintaining HVAC controls and related equipment for efficiency.
