Job summary

Huntsville Memorial Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist to organize and conduct prescribed hospital-based therapy programs to restore function after disease or injury.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (Master's preferred), and a current PT license with BLS within 60 days of employment. Prior cardiac rehab experience is a plus. Join an interdisciplinary team focused on patient recovery and quality care.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience: none required; cardiac rehab experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current Physical Therapist license required; BLS certification within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plans therapy program for each patient as prescribed by physician.
• Directs and aids patient in exercises and gait training.
• Provides whirlpool and contrast baths and applies moist packs.
• Maintains patient records using SOAP format.
• Keeps department policies and safety/infection control procedures.
• Trains medical and nursing personnel in physical therapy techniques.
• Abides by the Code of Conduct and protects PHI.
