Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Mobile Infirmary Hospital in Mobile, AL. The role includes blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques, specimen processing, and data entry, with a 3rd shift 4x10s schedule (8pm–6:30am) and rotating Saturdays.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience. Benefits are provided and travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
