MarinHealth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare, fill and distribute medications and sterile products under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The role requires attention to aseptic technique, accurate drug knowledge, and strong collaboration with nursing and physician staff.

The position emphasizes patient safety and inventory control, with responsibilities spanning order processing, sterile compounding, and quality assurance in a hospital environment.

Formación

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Two years of college with science courses or completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician program.
• Two years as a pharmacy technician or related experience preferred, hospital experience preferred.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (PHRMTECH-R) required at hire.
• IAMTAC certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of general pharmacy operations, drug names, dosage forms, packaging and storage.

Responsabilidades

• Process orders for narcotic and non-narcotic medications for various settings.
• Distribute and refill medications and prepare sterile and non-sterile preparations.
• Maintain sterile technique, quality control logs and inventory levels.
• Maintain patient profiles and triage communications for pharmacist review.
• Assist pharmacists in monthly storage inspections and training.
