Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy department. The role includes preparing unit-dose medications, outpatient prescriptions, and stock orders under supervision, across central and designated areas.

Qualifications include a MA Pharmacy Technician License, high school diploma, and 1–2 years hospital-related experience. Onsite at 81 Highland Avenue with rotating shifts and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

Perform intermediate mathematical calculations associated with preparing non-sterile, extemporaneously manufactured pharmaceutical products and other medication doses.
Follow all applicable state and federal controlled substance regulations.
Continuously improve skills necessary of area-specific technology, including robotics, automation, software, equipment, and information system.

Responsibilities

Performs all required pharmaceutical dosage calculations necessary to prepare extemporaneous dosage forms under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Adheres to safety requirements for handling non-hazardous medications.
May prepare compounded sterile products and distribute/transport controlled substances as assigned.
Assists with the training of Pharmacy Technician Trainees.
