Job summary

Under supervision of the Pharmacy Coordinator, the position offers full-time or part-time shifts with callbacks and overtime as needed. A high school diploma is required and Tennessee registration within 90 days is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Tennessee registration within 90 days preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacist by prepackaging and stocking inventory.
• Fill medication carts and floor stock; deliver to hospital areas.
• Investigate medication discrepancies and resolve missing doses.
• Interpret orders, calculate doses and determine quantities.
• Operate unit dose packaging machines.
• Process charging/crediting of patient medications and generate reports.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications under supervision.
• Answer calls and assist staff to resolve issues.
• Support a positive department team environment.
• Replenish patient-related supplies and participate in transfers.
