West Tennessee Healthcare in Jackson, TN is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacists by stocking and maintaining inventory in the IV area. You will assist IV Technicians in the clean room and internal pharmacy area, ensuring accurate prescription preparation and timely deliveries.

The role emphasizes inventory control, adherence to regulatory requirements, and teamwork within the department.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Pharmacy Technician certification required.
Must be registered with the State of Tennessee within 90 days of employment.
Pharmacy technician experience preferred.
Retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Accurate preparation and filling of prescriptions.
Assist IV Technicians in ordering, stocking medications and supplies, and monitoring inventory levels on a daily basis.
Responsible for filling patient orders and preparing them for delivery.
Ability to learn pharmacy software to prepare IV labels as needed.
Types, distributes, or files prescriptions, and other department materials.
Aligns all prepared products with labels and calculations for the pharmacists to check.
Readies IV's and supplies for delivery and/or mail outs.
Contributes to a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the department.
Responsible for ordering and purchasing clean room supplies and compounding products.
Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.
