Job summary

Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the filling and dispensing of unit dose, IV and chemotherapeutic medications from the pharmacy to nursing units and other departments.

This role emphasizes prompt, safe, and accurate service and teamwork aligned with the Sisters of Providence Mission. The ideal candidate will have completed a Pharmacy Technician Level A program, hold a WA Pharmacy Technician License, and possess experience with IV admixture,

Qualifications

Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician Level A training program certified by the Washington State Board of Pharmacy or equivalent education/experience.
Washington Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
Experience with telephone call prioritization.
Experience with stressful/urgent need situations.
3 months practical experience in a hospital pharmacy under the direct supervision of pharmacist.
Experienced in IV admixture/aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

Fills and dispenses unit dose, IV and chemotherapeutic medications from the pharmacy to nursing units and other departments.
Maintains prompt, safe and accurate dispensing while promoting teamwork.
Adheres to Providence mission and philosophy.
