Job summary

Providence Health and Services in Centralia, WA seeks an Associate Pharmacy Technician to assist in the safe preparation and dispensing of medications—including IV and chemotherapeutics—in a hospital setting. Requires a certified Pharmacy Technician Level A program and licensure, plus aseptic technique experience and hospital operations familiarity.

You will support clinical care teams, ensure timely medication delivery, and promote patient-centered care aligned with the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician Level A training program certified by the Washington State Board of Pharmacy, or equivalent educ/experience.
  • Upon hire: Washington Pharmacy Technician License.
  • Experience with telephone call prioritization.
  • Experience with stressful/urgent need situations.
  • 3 months Practical experience in a hospital pharmacy under the direct supervision of pharmacist.
  • Experienced in IV admixture/aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose, IV and chemotherapeutic medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt, safe and accurate manner.
  • Performs all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the Sisters of Providence Mission and Philosophy.
