Qualifications

• Minimum of six months hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• PA registration preferred; trainee registration required upon hire; 180 days to complete.
• NJ registration preferred upon hire; must be registered within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Fills medications and IV orders from computer labels; updates patient cassette drawers.
• Delivers medications to care areas or via pneumatic tube; handles returns.
• Answers drug information questions professionally and communicates with staff.
• Prepares prepackaged medications under pharmacist supervision; maintains logs.
• Prepares parenteral, admixture, anti-neoplastic and Home IV Therapy orders.
• Maintains clean work area; performs routine area inspections and inventory checks.
• Supports Transitional Care Unit activities and training of new staff.
