Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care across Carle Foundation Hospital and related locations. The role includes filing, compounding, reconstitution, labeling, and delivery of medications.

Responsibilities cover processing prescriptions, restocking Omnicell, IV preparation, and invoicing and inventory controls. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is expected, with state exemptions considered where applicable.

Qualifications

• Certification as Pharmacy Technician (or exempt/not required in some states).
• Competent in handling prescriptions and labeling.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and safely prepare and label chemotherapy drugs for administration.
• Fill and deliver Omnicell restock lists and assist in training materials as needed.
• Enter and process new prescriptions and refills in the pharmacy system.
• Prepare IV products using aseptic technique and proper labeling.
• Perform billing functions including patient charging and inventory checks.
