Job summary

Medical City Dallas is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for full-time coverage of morning and evening shifts. The role involves accurate dispensing, ADC operations, and parenteral compounding under pharmacy management.

Qualifications

• National Certification (PTCB or NHA) required.
• Texas State Board Registration required.
• IV certification preferred.
• IV room experience a plus.
• 1-3 years of hospital experience preferred.
• Associate's Degree or equivalent level of education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties associated with Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs)
• Documents monthly medication storage area inspections
• Performs required calculations
• Compounds and labels medications and parenteral admixtures
• Uses aseptic technique in parenteral compounding
• Adheres to USP 795, 797, 800 requirements
• Identifies issues, prioritizes workload, communicates with staff
• Completes education requirements to maintain competency
• Interacts with hospital personnel in person and by phone
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Checks Code of Conduct and Mission statements
