Medical City Decatur is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital-based team. You will process medication orders, prepare sterile products, and assist pharmacists with patient education and drug information.

The role supports safe, effective pharmacotherapy and requires accuracy and compliance with policies. Qualifications include a Pharmacy Technician License, CPhT with IV certification, and 1 year hospital experience (sterile compounding preferred).

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Pharmacy Technician License required.
• CPhT with IV certification.
• 1 year hospital Pharmacy Technician experience including sterile compounding.
• 2+ years Pharmacy Tech experience preferred.
• Associate of Science degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process medication orders and dispense pre-manufactured dosage forms accurately.
• Assist pharmacists with education and drug information for patients and staff.
• Participate in appropriate IV compounding and sterile preparation duties.
• Assist with drug information retrieval and patient pharmacotherapy planning.
• Support department goals, time management, and policy adherence.
