Job summary

Medical City Frisco is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to perform advanced and basic technician functions, including ADC-related duties and parenteral compounding under pharmacist supervision.

The role requires CPhT certification, active state registration, and a high school diploma, with ACPE IV certification preferred. 1 year of experience is typical, benefits and ongoing education are provided.

Qualifications

• CPhT certification required and valid license.
• Active registered technician per state board.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience required.
• ACPE-accredited IV certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify critical issues, prioritize workload and communicate to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain documentation logs and ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with medication storage and security in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Perform audits (e.g., anesthesia, overrides, billing) as assigned; support quality control and performance improvement.
• Prepare parenteral admixtures, aseptically, and ensure final pharmacist check before dispensing.
• Assist pharmacists with clinical reviews (medication reconciliation, reports triage) and complete required calculations.
• Proficient in automated dispensing systems and daily ADC maintenance and troubleshooting.
