Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Trainee. This entry-level role provides on-the-job training through Pharmacy Technician University courses and requires you to competently use hospital EMR for daily duties, operate automated dispensing machines, and assist with IV compounding and order fulfillment.

Successful completion of aseptic technique training within 90 days is required, along with strong math and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of annual exam for Aseptic Technique within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• Computer experience required.
• Good math skills, organizational skills, teamwork and ability to work under high pressure and time constraints are required.

Responsibilities

• Runs reports, pulls medications and restocks Automated Dispensing Machines and assists with dispensing problems.
• Compounds IV and Piggyback medications following USP 797 guidelines.
• Supports pharmacists, assists in set-up of orders and expedites orders to nursing units.
• Replaces and fills floor stock, delivers to appropriate areas and stocks UD area and IV room.
