Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician II to support safe, timely pharmacy services under supervision. You will prepare, package, label, and distribute medications, manage inventory, and assist with medication history and reporting using pharmacy information systems.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license, and national certification (PTCB CPhT or NHA ExCPT).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; experience in lieu of degree not accepted.
• Board Certified Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB CPhT or NHA ExCPT) required.
• Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license/registration required.
• New Hampshire Pharmacy Technician registration or within 6 months of hire.
• ASHP Medication History Certificate required or within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, fill, label, repackage, and distribute medications and supplies for pharmacist verification.
• Manage medication inventory, storage areas, and automated dispensing cabinets.
• Handle controlled substances and sterile preparations per laws and policies.
• Operate pharmacy robotics and information systems to support services.
• Maintain cleanroom standards and aseptic techniques where applicable.
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, and clinical staff to coordinate needs.
• Train junior staff and assist with audits and reports.
