Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent or enrolled in high school.
• Tennessee Pharmacy Technician registration within 90 days is required.
• Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or equivalent national certification is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with medication distribution and related processes.
• Receive medication and supplies for storage; stock AMDCs.
• Prepare, label medications for patient dispensing.
• Compound non-sterile products per USP <795> and <797> standards.
• Demonstrate compliance with handling of hazardous drugs USP <800> standards.
• Show computer proficiency related to dispensing software; may perform audits, inventory, and charge processing as directed by the Director of Pharmacy.
