Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Tennessee Pharmacy Technician registration within 90 days of employment required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board certification encouraged.
• Prior pharmacy technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacists with medication distribution activities.
• Receive medications and other supplies for storage.
• Stock Automated Medication Dispensing Cabinets (AMDCs) and storage areas.
• Prepare, package, and label medications for dispensing to patients.
• Compound non-sterile products according to USP <795> and <797> standards.
• Demonstrate computer proficiency with dispensing software.
• Perform audits, inventory maintenance, and charge processing as needed.
