Job summary

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) seeks a Pharmacy Technician - Generalist to support sterile compounding and dispensing within the CHOP Pharmacy SOPs. You will prepare patient-specific doses, assist with CNSP/CSP handling, and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.

Position emphasizes adherence to USP standards, inventory control, and collaboration with pharmacists to ensure timely, safe patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in Pennsylvania preferred or required upon hire.
• Experience with sterile compounding is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient-specific and non-patient-specific doses per CHOP SOP.
• Verify all doses with a pharmacist prior to dispensing.
• Repackage medications per CHOP SOP and USP standards.
• Maintain documentation and logbooks (CNSP, CSP, logs).
• Handle floor-stock meds and non-automated systems with accuracy.
• Comply with USP 797/800, CMS, FDA guidance and CHOP SOPs.
