Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an Allied Health Pharmacy Technician to support medication processing under the supervision of a Staff Pharmacist. The role involves interfacing with nursing to ensure timely delivery, handling IV meds, and following USP 797 procedures.

Responsibilities include operating robot systems, restocking dispensing cabinets, performing quality checks, and assisting with automation workflows.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy.
• CPhT within 6 months of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Hospital experience of at least 1 year, or pharmacy tech school/retail experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Robot software to evaluate medication processing.
• Stock robot with medications and supplies to maintain efficient workflow.
• Package medications for automated dispensing machines.
• Perform quality assurance to ensure medications are prepared, packaged, and stored per guidelines.
• Ensure medications reach the patient in the required time frame and liaise with nursing.
