Job summary

Kindred Hospital Bay Area - St. Petersburg and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in dispensing medications and preparing IV additives using aseptic technique.

The technician will handle labeling, charge processing, and record-keeping in a busy hospital setting. The role requires compliance with 797 guidelines, plus strong math, computer, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current PTCB certification or equivalent certification/training program as required by state.
• Prefer 1 year experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in a hospital pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medications.
• Prepare IV packs and sterile compounding using aseptic technique.
• Process records of medication and equipment dispensed to patients and enter data in computer.
• Prepare and label medications and fill bottles.
• Restock supplies and manage inventory within the IV refrigerator log.
