Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists with preparation and distribution of medications across patient areas. Tasks include IV drug prep, aseptic technique, Omnicell dispensing, and stock management.

The role requires MA registration, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a national CPhT certification, with CARE standards adherence and clear communication with healthcare teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Massachusetts and have no disciplinary actions taken.
• National certification (CPhT).
• Staff adheres to all CARE Standards.
• Must communicate clearly with all health care personnel and understand pharmacy operations and technology.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate daily workload to coincide with departmental needs.
• Prepacks non-unit-dose oral medications as needed for dispensing.
• Aseptically prepares intravenous medications within the allotted time.
• Use aseptic technique in the IV Room with chemo safety requirements.
• Fill medication orders accurately and efficiently; operate Omnicell cabinets.
• Inspect medications for outdated drugs and maintain stock appropriately.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas in a timely manner.
• Answer phone in a courteous and helpful manner.
• Accept extra duties and complete them by deadline.
