Atrium Health in Monroe, NC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support licensed pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications. You will assist with labeling, inventory, and patient records under USP standards, ensuring accuracy and safety.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday (1st shift). Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED, with certification deadlines and potential for growth within a large health system.

Formación

• Registration or licensure with state board of pharmacy
• Must obtain CPhT or ExCPT within 18 months from start date
• No work experience required; Certification preferred

Responsabilidades

• Assist licensed pharmacist with preparation and distribution of medications
• Select, prepare, and label medications including hazardous drugs
• Assist with medication distribution tasks
• Screen phone calls and route as needed
• Inventory control and outdate checking
• Document removal, stocking, and waste of controlled substances
• Perform nonsterile compounding per USP standards
• Perform sterile IV admixture as applicable
• Inspect storage areas for policy adherence
• Complete medication admission histories and data entry as needed
• Support quality improvement initiatives and training of technicians
