Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician III for a full-time role in a hospital setting. The technician will assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications and will follow state and federal regulations for patient safety.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or equivalent, 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience, active licensure, and CPhT certification. The role includes evenings/nights and requires fingerprint-based background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years hospital pharmacy experience required.
• Active pharmacy technician licensure in good standing and fingerprints/background check required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications.
• Operate and troubleshoot automated dispensing equipment.
• Interpret medical information to support pharmacist judgments.
• Maintain inventory and assist with ordering.
• Train new staff and orient teammates.
