Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician III (PRN) for evening shifts to support the pharmacy team. You will prepare, compound, and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include handling EPIC entries, inventory tasks, and patient/customer interactions while maintaining high standards of accuracy and service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years of hospital pharmacy experience or equivalent.
• Active registration with the State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician required, or willingness to submit application by start date.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain information in EPIC and other pharmacy systems.
• Prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist with sterile preparations and hazardous medications as applicable.
• Manage medication inventory and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Deliver medications and provide excellent customer service.
