Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician III for PRN evening shifts. You will assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications while ensuring compliance with all regulations.

The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate medication preparation, and excellent customer service in a hospital setting. The position requires an active State Board registration, 3+ years of hospital pharmacy experience, and CPhT certification within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years hospital pharmacy experience or equivalent.
• Active registration with State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain information in EPIC and other systems.
• Retrieve, count, package, and prepare medications for pharmacist verification.
• Prepare sterile preparations, including chemotherapy and hazardous meds.
• Fill medication orders accurately and timely.
• Maintain inventory and monitor medication stock and QA standards.
