Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Delivers medication and ensures it is secured until delivered to the care giver or loaded into the ADC.
• Ensures all medication is verified by a pharmacist prior to delivery.
• Returns medication to the pharmacy, secured until stocked or discarded per policy.
• Stocks ADC with standard and patient-specific meds using barcode tech.
• Stocks medication kits, boxes and trays for hospital use before pharmacist verification.
• Uses barcode tech and reports barcode failures to supervisor.
• Inspects medication storage areas as assigned.
• Answers incoming calls and directs to appropriate staff.
• Retrieves and labels prepackaged meds with barcode verification.
• Performs sterile and hazardous compounding under pharmacist supervision per policy.
