Job summary

SSM Health is seeking an entry-level Pharmacy Technician at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Under supervision of a pharmacist, you will assist with transcription, storage, preparation, dispensing, and delivery of medications, and learn non-sterile/sterile compounding, pharmacy automation, and compliant documentation. The role emphasizes maintenance of accurate records, adherence to regulatory standards, and delivering excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or education equivalency for licensing.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of medication orders including transcription, workflow management, automation utilization, and medication readiness for non-sterile compounding, checking, dispensing, and delivery.
• Distributes medications to designated areas and returns unused, discontinued, or damaged doses to the pharmacy; ensures medications are secured and in-date using automation.
• Supports inventory management activities including receipt, storage, security, and inspection; maintains clean inventory areas and proper labeling.
• Adheres to regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards; completes documentation and maintains records; promotes a safe practice environment and reports safety events.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients and staff while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.
