You will retrieve, package, label and dispense a variety of medications and support pharmacy operations. Responsibilities include ensuring pharmacist verification, stocking ADCs, handling unit-dose packaging, and communicating with care teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–6 months hospital or retail pharmacy experience or completion of a Pharmacy Technician program.
• Knowledge of pharmacy software for medication ordering, ADCs and unit-dose packaging.

Responsibilities

• Deliver medications to caregivers or load into the ADC.
• Ensure all medications are verified by a pharmacist prior to delivery.
• Stock ADCs with standard and patient-specific medications using barcode tech when applicable.
• Stock medication kits, boxes and trays for hospital use before pharmacist verification.
• Inspect medication storage areas as assigned.
• Answer calls promptly and direct to the appropriate pharmacy staff.
• Label and prepackage various dosage forms using barcode technology.
• Assist with sterile and hazardous compounding under pharmacist supervision as needed.
