Job summary

Hendricks Regional Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacist staff and ensure optimal pharmaceutical care. The role includes delivering medications to nursing units, stocking cabinets, and assisting with aseptic compounding and unit-based workflows.

You will participate in inventory management, patient care support, and adherence to hospital procedures, with duties spanning order entry, labeling, and resolution of routine issues under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Delivers medications from the pharmacy to nursing units and handles returns.
• Maintains and restocks unit-based automated dispensing cabinets and conducts routine stocking.
• Performs aseptic compounding of parenteral admixtures and sterile dosage forms with proper technique.
• Processes floor stock requisitions and maintains logs; ensures correct counts and expiry dating.
• Handles controlled substances per policy; documents and returns unused materials for disposition.
• Provides general assistance to pharmacist staff and supports order entry and labeling tasks.
• Restocks anesthesia cabinets and trays, ensures proper documentation and stock rotation.
