Job summary

Hendricks Regional Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team. You will deliver medications to nursing units, stock automated dispensing cabinets, and assist pharmacists in order entry and medication checking.

The role requires strong attention to detail and reliable teamwork in a hospital setting. The technician will also perform aseptic compounding of parenteral admixtures, manage stock, and handle controlled substances under pharmacist supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current State of Indiana Pharmacy Technician license or Technician in Training license.
• National Certification through PTCB within 1 year of hire.
• Maintains qualifications per Technician ladder for Technician I position.

Responsibilities

• Delivers medications from the pharmacy to nursing units and returns items as required.
• Maintains and stocks unit-based automated dispensing cabinets; checks accuracy and expiration dates.
• Performs aseptic compounding of parenteral admixtures and other sterile dosage forms; documents quality controls.
• Processes floor stock requisitions and maintains logs; ensures stock levels and proper dating.
