Job summary

Cullman Regional Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to perform core pharmacy tasks in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include inventory management, PO requests, and daily invoice processing, ensuring accurate documentation and patient safety.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a technician program, and Alabama Board of Pharmacy registration, with hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read, write, interpret written instructions and perform calculations.
• Experience with pharmacy software preferred.
• Must be registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks under the certified Pharmacy Technician I level 13.
• Place orders for medications and maintain inventory levels.
• Request purchase orders and submit invoices for payment daily.
• Manage annual physical inventory and par levels for all items.
• Maintain documentation for borrow/loan transactions with other facilities.
• Keep the pharmacy and storage areas organized.
• Communicate back orders and shortages to pharmacy staff.
• Process interdepartmental billing and assist accounts payable.
• Encourage teamwork and deliver exceptional patient/guest experiences.
• Uphold patient safety and quality.
