Job summary

Cullman Regional Medical Center Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I level to support daily pharmacy operations, place medication orders, and help manage inventory and par levels.

This role includes IV admixture work and collaboration with the pharmacy team to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, completed technician training, Alabama Board registration, and at least 6 months in a hospital pharmacy; 2 years inventory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a formal technician training program with satisfactory grades in all modules preferred.
• Must be registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician.
• Six months of continuous experience in a pharmacy position with IV admixture experience.
• Minimum of two years of hospital pharmacy and inventory management experience preferred.
• Must pass the exam by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.

Responsibilities

• Place orders for medications daily to maintain inventory.
• Request purchase orders and submit invoices for payment.
• Manage annual physical inventory and establish par levels.
• Maintain documentation for borrow/loan transactions to other facilities.
• Communicate back orders and shortages to pharmacy staff.
• Maintain interdepartmental billing and assist accounts payable transfers.
• Promote patient safety and quality in daily operations.
• Keep pharmacy storage areas organized and compliant.
