Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia seeks a Manager Pharmacy to plan, organize and supervise all pharmaceutical operations and finances in the assigned pharmacy, ensuring compliance with policies, laws and accreditation standards. The role reports to the Director of Pharmacy.

You will lead staff, train personnel, maintain regulatory readiness for inspections, manage budgets, oversee drug distribution, participate in committees, and collaborate with site leadership to deliver high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) and completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program.
• Active state Pharmacist license (RPH).
• Minimum 3 years in hospital pharmacy; 1 year in supervisory role or 2 years in clinical/community settings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations and report to the Director of Pharmacy.
• Train and supervise pharmacy staff and delegate responsibilities.
• Maintain regulatory readiness for inspections and compliance with laws and standards.
• Assist the Director of Pharmacy in policy development and budgeting.
• Manage drug distribution, purchasing, and inventory; monitor controlled substances.
• Participate in hospital committees and provide in-service education as needed.
• Communicate issues to Pharmacy leadership and site administrators.
