Job summary
BrightSpring Health Services in New Mexico is seeking a Hospital Pharmacy Director to lead our hospital pharmacy operations, ensure top‑quality drug therapy, and uphold regulatory compliance.
You will develop and implement pharmacy policies, manage inventory, mentor staff, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administration to optimize patient outcomes.
The role requires an advanced pharmacy degree, a current state license, and proven management experience in a hospital setting.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Pharmacy is required.
- State-licensed Pharmacist with current license.
- Minimum one year of management experience.
- Three years of experience in the discipline required; ten years preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor staff.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all functions related to delivery of hospital pharmacy services.
- Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate with medical and nursing staff to optimize drug therapy.
- Lead staff development and training.
- Monitor drug usage and inventory, and perform quarterly reviews.
- Stay informed about new drugs and research developments.
- Guide and supervise pharmacy personnel.
