Job summary
The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to provide operational and clinical leadership for the hospital's pharmacy team. You will oversee the dispensing of medications, consult with medical staff on drug interactions and patient history, and ensure compliance with data recording and regulatory procedures.
Required qualifications include a Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor's in Pharmacy, SC Pharmacist license, and BLS certification. Residency preferred.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
- Completion of a pharmacy residency preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the SC Board of Pharmacy.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Responsibilities
- Compounds and dispenses prescribed drugs in a hospital setting.
- Consults with medical staff about drug interactions and patient history.
- Responds to questions from patients about medications and dosages.
- Ensures that all required pharmacy data is recorded and compliant with regulations.
