Job summary

Cullman Regional is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist with pre-packaging, labeling and dispensing medications. You will support automated dispensing machines, stock and maintain inventory, and ensure a clean, compliant pharmacy area.

You will answer non-clinical calls, help across pharmacy workflows, and demonstrate proficiency in pharmacy computer systems while upholding patient safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a formal technician training program with satisfactory grades preferred.
• Must be registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in pre-packaging, labeling and dispensing medications.
• Refill, load and unload automated dispensing machines and troubleshoot basic problems.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pharmacy and ensure substances are not out-of-date.
• Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously, assisting with non-clinical questions.
• Assist in any area of pharmacy where workload requires.
• Maintain inventory levels and assist in ordering/restocking medications and supplies.
• Demonstrate proficiency in all computer systems utilized in pharmacy.
• Support team and contribute to positive patient/guest experiences.
• Uphold patient safety and quality standards.
