Job summary

Qualified candidates will hold a Pharm D. degree with Mississippi licensure and have supervisory hospital pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• Pharm D. degree and Mississippi Board licensure required.
• Supervisory experience in hospital pharmacy is required.
• Residency training or an advanced degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs pharmacy operations in a cost-effective manner and ensures resources are available.
• Deploys clinical pharmacy services with clinical manager to optimize drug use.
• Recruits, trains, delegates responsibilities, and conducts performance appraisals.
• Ensures compliance with federal/state laws, documentation, and controlled substances handling.
• Manages department budget and works on cost reduction strategies.
• Oversees clinical/operational tech systems (carousels, bar code labeling, documentation, etc.).
• Ensures accurate pharmacy billing and charge capture in collaboration with Finance.
• Participates in quality improvement and policy development within the department.
• Performs staff pharmacist duties and participates in hospital programs and meetings.
