Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's CPS team is seeking a Director of Pharmacy for River Park Hospital in Huntington, WV. The role leads all hospital pharmacy operations, aligning clinical, quality, and financial goals with regulatory standards and advanced CPS software to support patient care.

You will oversee leadership of pharmacists, technicians, and support staff, ensure safe medication use, drive cost controls, and collaborate with hospital leadership on system-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) required.
• Active West Virginia Pharmacist license in good standing or ability to acquire.
• 1+ years of supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all hospital pharmacy services.
• Ensure safe, evidence-based medication use and formulary management.
• Oversee leadership and staff including managers, pharmacists, technicians, and support teams.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, USP, BOP and state/federal laws.
• Oversee budgeting, purchasing, contract management and cost-containment initiatives.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on system-wide patient care, quality and safety initiatives.
• Drive innovation and performance improvement using data and technology.
